Insurance & Billing
We work with most major insurance plans and aim to make the financial side of your care as clear and simple as possible.
Insurance we accept
Northwest Cardiovascular Clinic accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare. Because coverage and networks change from year to year, the surest way to confirm that we are in-network for your specific plan is to call our office at (281) 807-5253 with your insurance details — our team will verify your benefits before your visit.
Referrals
Some plans, particularly HMOs, require a referral from your primary care physician before you see a cardiologist. If your plan requires one, having it in place before your appointment helps avoid delays. Not sure? Give us a call and we will help you sort it out.
What to bring to your visit
- A photo ID and your insurance card
- Any referral your plan requires
- A list of your current medications and dosages
- Relevant records or test results from other providers
- Your copay, if your plan has one
Costs, copays & deductibles
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your specific plan — your copay, deductible, and coinsurance. When a test or procedure is recommended, we are glad to review what is typically covered and explain any expected costs before you decide to proceed, so there are no surprises.
Ways to pay
We accept cash, check, and major credit cards, as well as Zelle sent to payments@nwcardiovascularclinic.com (please add the patient's name in the memo so we can match your payment). If you have a balance and would like to discuss options, our billing staff is happy to help.
Is my treatment covered?
Most cardiovascular testing and treatment is covered when it is medically necessary. Vein treatment, for example, is typically covered when varicose veins are symptomatic and reflux is documented on ultrasound, while purely cosmetic treatment usually is not. We always verify your benefits and walk you through any costs in advance.
