EKG & Holter Monitoring
Simple, non-invasive tests that record your heart's electrical activity to uncover rhythm problems.
What it is
An electrocardiogram (EKG) records your heart's electrical signals in seconds using small stickers on the skin. A Holter or event monitor extends that recording over 24 hours to several days to capture rhythm problems that come and go.
Why it's done
These tests help diagnose palpitations, atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias, evaluate unexplained fainting or dizziness, and monitor the heart over time.
What to expect
An in-office EKG is quick and painless. For longer monitoring, you'll wear a small, discreet device during your normal daily activities and keep a brief symptom diary, then return it for analysis.
